Miner´s Word
It´s a center dedicated to the memory and Mining culture of Almadén. In its rooms we find The Video Word of Miner and content dedicated to the life of miners. The organization of work in the mine, types of work and functions. Anthropological aspects of work and social life in the mine. The material culture and lifestyle of the Almadén mining families.
The center seeks to generate a state of awareness and knowledge through audiovisuals installations, elements of material culture, recreations and historical photography. Through questions and proposals, from the testimonies of the protagonists of the work in the Almadén mines and their families, the visitor can create their own understanding of the reality of these people and their way of life. But, in addition, the space seeks to generate reflection and foster a critical attitude regarding the lifestyle of our society, delving, from the messages and installations, into issues such as social values, the circular economy, organization and role of the family and women, the role and organization work in the Almadén mine and society, and other topics that allow us to understand, in a significant and critical way, the Almadén mines.
