Mina de Almadén
In the subterranean mine, with more than 700m of depth, has recovered a space for the visit with the maximum security guarantees.
The accessible area corresponds to the first floor of the Almadén mine, about 50m deep, the one with the greatest historical valeu. Visitors, after visiting areas of exploitation from the 17th and 18th centuries (Exploitations of thefts, headwalls or sky and banks)
Works from the 19th century reach the jewel of the visit, the baritel of San Andrés with its majestic winch, an extraordinary element of the mining heritage and the forced gallery, through which convicts were led to work in the mine from the jail.
